What It Is:
One-on-one, evidence-based care designed to help you recover from injury, surgery, or pain. It is a movement-based approach that focuses on restoring movement, reducing discomfort, and improving overall function, healing the body (and mind), and providing techniques to improve quality of life. These sessions are considered medical care and are performed under a physical therapy plan of care, and will require a physician's referral if continued therapy is needed after 30 days of treatment with a doctor of physical therapy (via Direct Access).
Unless requested by the patient, these sessions are 60 minutes in duration.
How It Works:
Your licensed physical therapist evaluates your condition and creates a customized plan of care. Sessions may include hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, movement/functional training, neuromuscular techniques, and ongoing progress assessments to ensure safe and efficient recovery.
